About Us

Chez Robert is a restaurant of great charm and atmosphere situated near the church in the village of Benahavís, a thriving white village 20 minutes from Marbella, Spain. It is owned and managed by chef Robert Germaux from Belgium and his English wife Penny, who says "Dining at Chez Robert is like coming to dinner at our house". The restaurant, which also doubles as an art gallery, is friendly and informal with stylish décor and a charming candlelit patio for summer dining.

The menu is small and changes daily as Robert likes to get up early and shop in the Marbella market for fresh produce. He describes his fare as La cuisine du marché, its essence being a potage of Belgian, French, Spanish and English cooking.

On Wednesday nights accompanied ladies do not pay. They can be accompanied by men or women.

On Friday nights, apart from the normal menu, a Russian menu is offered with salmon/blini and Limonaïa vodka. Great fun!

An excellent house wine is included plus unlimited soft drinks for those who do not drink alcohol. The house apéritif, coffee, bread and water are also included in the price of € 42 (+ 7% vat.)

Open 6 nights a week except Mondays. Dinner only.

Private parties of up to 60 persons catered for, plus there is an upstairs room for private dinner parties of up to 20 persons.
